Shape of a City | Toronto

The Series: The series explores architectural abstrations in our urban landscapes. Our built environments have the power to inspire individuals and shape entire cultures. By focusing on rhythm and geometry, and the interplay of line, shape and form, the images seek to capture and accentuate the dynamic relationship between our built spaces and the feelings they inspire.

Skybridge

Toronto, Canada
The FSC Sky Bridge, designed by architects Jennifer Marman, Daniel Borins, and James Khamsi. Standing in just the right spot outside the Toronto Convention Center, with the camera angle tipped, I was able to capture this wonderful piece of graphic architecture with the CN Tower behind.

Ismaili Center #02

Toronto, Canada
The Ismaili Centre, a mosque and community centre in Toronto. I love this building. This curved main entrance is at once graceful and powerful and I was pulled in by strong plays of light and shadow created by the curved beams that cover the drive.
